Staple has followed the sell-out release of its first RTD beverage, Vodka Soda Lime, with the launch of Gin Soda Cucumber in a can.
Born in Clovelly, NSW, the new drink is a 330ml amalgamation of Australian botanical gin (featuring juniper, coriander, lemon peel & cardamom just to name a few), soda water and real, whole, puréed cucumbers.
Staple Co-Founder George Tyler said: “Gin Soda Cucumber was inspired by crowd-favourite tipple, the gin and cucumber. We were surprised no one in Australia had created this yet, so we did!”
Fellow Co-Founder David Snow added: “We’re making what we love; canning our favourite go-to bar drinks, like the gin and cucumber or vodka soda lime, and recreating the on-premise experience. Something we, like many Australians, have really
missed in 2020.”
Staple’s packaging is simple and unisex. Responsibly making use of fully recyclable classic 330ml aluminium cans, the brand is also a registered Exchange for Change scheme supplier.
“Steering clear of the skinny white-labelled cans we see dominating the better-for-you category was really important to us,” said co-founder Matt Poole. “We tick all the boxes as a healthier alcoholic beverage choice with 89 calories per can, 1g sugar from the real fruit and no added nasties, but we also tick the box for taste too.”

The release of Gin Soda Cucumber follows the hugely successful launch of Staple’s first RTD beverage, Vodka Soda Lime, which sold out in stores within weeks.
