Excitement builds for Australian Cocktail Month

Australian Cocktail Month is shaping up to be a huge event for both bars and drinks lovers, with a slew of local and international brands joining the celebration.

The event will be held in May 2021 and aims to champion the Australian cocktail industry after the tough time it has battled during COVID-19 lockdowns.

Brands getting involved include Buffalo Trace, Diplomatico Rum, Plantation Rum, Patron, Bombay Bramble, Monkey 47, Glenfiddich, Hendrick’s, Monkey Shoulder, Sailor Jerry, Ailsa Bay, Starward, Never Never, The Melbourne Gin Company, Mr Black Coffee Liqueur, Mancino Vermouth and Crawley’s Simple Syrups Co.

Each brand will work with a venue in each state to create an amazing drinks menu. The Australian Cocktail Month ticket provides consumers the key to unlocking unique barexperiences, being hosted by industry leading professionals, escaping the day to day and, of course, delicious cocktails at great prices. Digital initiatives will also allow consumers outside the key cities to participate and engage with an online audience.

“One of the reasons we’re doing this in May is that there is Cinco de Mayo, International Cocktail Day, World Whisky Day and Mother’s Day,” organiser Penny Sippe (above) told Bars and Clubs. So there are lots of activities and reasons for people to get out and enjoy Australia’s bars. The bars and the brands will have lots of opportunities to create experiences that consumers are going to want to come to.”
