Wolf Blass luxury collection 2021New releases

Wolf Blass launches its 2021 Luxury Collection

Wolf Blass Chief Winemaker Chris Hatcher says this year’s Luxury Collection is a true reflection of the original philosophy of its Founder, Wolfgang Blass – never settle for anything less than exceptional.

Since 1966, Blass has been the recipient of more than 10,000 medals and trophies globally. Last year, it was named International Red Producer of the Year at the 2020 International Wine and Spirit Competition (IWSC) in London. It’s the fourth time Wolf Blass has received the prestigious award, after taking it out in 1992, 2002 and 2013.

Hatcher says the new range of six wines across three tiers is another winner.

“The 2021 Luxury Release offers a collection of wines that demonstrate the ongoing passion, skill, creativity and dedication of our viticulture and winemaking teams,” he said.

“Wolf forged a new path in luxury Australian Wines, always setting a much higher standard amongst his peers and this philosophy remains as relevant today as when he first began over 50 years ago.”

The wines that form part of the 2021 Collection are:

·                     Grey Label Adelaide Hills Chardonnay 2019 – RRP $30

·                     Grey Label McLaren Vale Shiraz 2019 – RRP $45

·                     Grey Label Langhorne Creek Cabernet Shiraz 2019 – RRP $45

·                     Black Label Barossa, Langhorne Creek, McLaren Vale Cabernet Shiraz 2018 – RRP $130

·                     Platinum Label Medlands Vineyard, Barossa Valley Shiraz 2018 – RRP $200

“Wolfgang is renowned for his impact on the winemaking world and together as a team, the essence of our wines always reflect that passion of custodians past and present as we continuously strive to produce wines of the highest standard, Hatcher concluded. “These wines are traditional yet contemporary, showcasing the Wolf Blass hallmarks of power and elegance. We hope you enjoy our 2021 Luxury Release.”

Wolf Blass is currently the No.3 wine brand in the Australian market, with 20 million bottles sold annually in the Australian Market.
