Taylor Made adds Prosecco to its line-up

Taylor Made has welcomed a King Valley Prosecco to its line-up. The Taylor Made King Valley Prosecco NV is a fresh, citrusy expression of the classic North Italian bubbly with enticing green apple, pear and honeysuckle flavours.

The new addition joins the Taylor Made portfolio as the growth of Prosecco sales in Australia outpaces the growth of the total sparkling category at 28%, with homegrown drops making up the lion’s share of sales.

“We’re excited to add a King Valley Prosecco to our Taylor Made line-up as we know it speaks to many of the growing trends wine lovers are looking for like flavour-driven refreshment, a casual sparkling option versus champagne, and most importantly it’s pretty delicious,” Mitchell Taylor, third-generation Winemaker for Taylor Made Wines said.

Drinks Digest sampled a bottle over the weekend and can confirm it’s a luscious drop.

King Valley is the heartland of prosecco production in Australia and Taylors said it was essential in the crafting of this wine. With its high altitude vineyards and deep red clay loam soils, the winemaker describes it as an “ideal choice for sourcing the quality sparkling fruit behind this wine”.

The Taylor Made range first launched in 2016 and has grown from a portfolio of three wines to seven different varieties and blends including an elegantly dry rosé; a pinot noir; an American oak matured malbec, and a Bourdeaux-inspired blend.

The new release Taylor Made King Valley Prosecco NV (RRP $25) is available now from select independent wine retailers, at select venues and Taylors Wines online cellar door at www.taylorswines.com.au
