Star Wars fans rejoice, Beer Cartel has taken delivery of a Death Star-sized pallet of Stormtrooper Beer, just in time for May the 4th (be with you).
Two beers have landed on Aussie shores – Galactic Pale Ale and S.N.I.P.A. They’re both expertly brewed at award-winning Vocation Brewery in Hebden Bridge, UK and inspired by the iconic armour designed by Shepperton Design Studio’s Andrew Ainsworth for the inaugural Star Wars film back in 1976.

Galactic Pale Ale 2.0, at ABV 4.8%, is a classic American style pale ale – pale, crisp, hoppy and very aromatic. Initially soft on the palate, ‘GPA’ builds to a generous but clean bitterness with flavours and aromas of mango, citrus, earthy pine and blueberry.
S.N.I.P.A. – Situation Normal India Pale Ale, has 4.4% ABV and all the hoppy goodness of an IPA but brewed to a sessionable strength. Made with generous amounts of US West Coast hops, it’s a full bodied, well-balanced and fruity beer, with flavours and aromas of passion fruit, gooseberry, grapefruit and mango.

Although we are pretty fond of how the brewer describes it: “Our craft beer is exclusively produced by an elite garrison of hop shock troops, stationed at Vocation Brewery in Hebden Bridge. From imperial ales to imperious lagers, our officially licensed, artfully produced – and soon to be legiondary – beers boast impeccable craft credentials, coupled with eye-popping design. So, join The Corps and make the jump to Hyper-Taste with these delicious ales from the darkside.”
Beer Cartel has an Original Stormtrooper Galactic Twin Pack for $13.99, containing one each of S.N.I.P.A and Galactic Pale Ale. They’re also available in 8 and 24 packs.
