The popular Bos Taurus steakhouse in Mansfield within Victoria’s High Country has been listed for sale.
The freehold going concern at 13-15 High Street spans 1167sqm across two titles, with the restaurant accompanied by an artisan butchery, rooftop bar and function area and two residential apartments.
Bos Taurus is Mansfield’s first and only dedicated steakhouse, bar and grill and occupies a high- exposure location on the town’s main thoroughfare.
Mansfield is roughly 180km or two-and-a-half hours north-east of the Melbourne CBD, sitting in the foothills of the Great Dividing Range.
CBRE’s Mathew George and Garry Hubbard of Mansfield Real Estate have been appointed to manage the sale campaign, with Expressions of Interest invited before August 5.
“Bos Taurus is a quality freehold and business with multiple revenue streams, in a booming regional destination,” George said.
“The push for the bush continues within Victoria, and regional centres such as Mansfield are growing as more people move from the city seeking affordable housing, while uncertainty around international travel is driving local and domestic tourism.
“We are expecting significant interest in Bos Taurus, driven by all-time-low interest rates and a distinct lack of opportunities for owner operators to purchase venues in metropolitan areas.”
Bos Taurus has a high-grade kitchen, plant and equipment, and a general liquor licence permitting a capacity of 300 patrons until 1am.
The steakhouse venue also showcases the area’s only artisan butchery, dedicated to supplying premium beef from Australia’s best producers.
“The business economy in Mansfield is growing exponentially,” Hubbard added. “It’s now a year-round tourism destination, getting to capacity every weekend and with a full events calendar.
“Bos Taurus represents a great opportunity for its next owner to reposition the business and take full advantage of its location and general liquor licence.”
