Everleigh Bottling Co. has partnered with William Grant & Sons to release the Glenfiddich & The Balvenie Father’s Day whisky cocktail collection.
The Everleigh Bottling Co.’s cocktails are created using recipes from Melbourne’s internationally renowned cocktail bar The Everleigh. Every cocktail is hand-made and bottled with the same spirits and attention to detail as those served at the bar.
Michael Madrusan, owner of Everleigh Bottling Co., said it “wasn’t rocket science” to decide to create the new collection using The Balvenie and Glenfiddich whisky expressions.
“We’ve always worked really well with William Grant & Sons,” he explained. “Their ambassadors aren’t afraid to work with you to try new things. We came up with this partnership last year and it was a huge hit. Our customers were asking if we would bring it back again, and we thought, absolutely.”
The result is a collection of four whisky-led cocktails:
- ‘Bobby Burns’ featuring The Balvenie 12 year, Benedictine, sweet vermouth and Angostura bitters
- ‘Joker’ featuring Glenfiddich 15 year, absinthe, Angostura bitters and sugar
- ‘Rob Roy’ featuring The Balvenie 12 year, sweet vermouth and Angostura bitters
- ‘Tattletale’ featuring Glenfiddich 15 year, Glenfiddich Fire & Cane (peated), honey and Angostura bitters
Madrusan said the trick to working with great whisky “is to keep the drink simple, and let the juice do the talking”. And the results speak for themselves, with bottled cocktail sales soaring.
“Our bottling arm, Everleigh Bottling Co., has seen some great traction this year,” he revealed. “We’ve had some amazing releases which have stayed on in our core offering like the sparkling cocktails and the new 500ml release. The Father’s Day release we’d love to see stay year on year. Our Christmas release will blow your socks off.”
As for the trends in the types of whisky cocktails people are seeking, Madrusan said: “If they’re not stiff, they’re tall and refreshing. Highballs are floating around. Personally, I think a scotch and soda is a delectable cooler.”
The limited-edition Father’s Day collection, priced at $85, is now available for pre-order. Simply pour each cocktail over ice, garnish and sip. Click here to order: everleighbottling.com
