Lion announces $30m Little Creatures redevelopment

Lion has announced a $30 million redevelopment of Little Creatures in Fremantle, Western Australia. The new site will open in 2023 and allow for up to 2000 people at the venue.

The project will deliver a new multi-level re-imagined hospitality venue, which will house the brewery and Great Hall with a rooftop terrace on the waterfront, subject to approvals.

Head of Hospitality Mark Pearn said given Little Creatures will turn 21 this November, the time was right for an investment in its future.

“This investment really just underscores our belief in Little Creatures – the preeminent name in modern Australian craft brewing,” Pearn said.

“Little Creatures Fremantle is already a ‘must visit’ tourist attraction, with up to a million visitors a year.

“This investment will deliver a truly memorable experience for locals and tourists alike, showcasing the very best of Australian craft brewing, WA hospitality and natural beauty. We’re hoping to showcase all of this with new areas, like the addition of a rooftop venue to the site.

“Fremantle is the heart of Little Creatures and it always will be. We are committed to Freo and we are very excited about what this investment will mean not just for Little Creatures, but the wider precinct.

“We’ll be doing everything we can to minimise disruption for our guests during the construction phase.”
