Bacardi unveils Mojito canned cocktail

BACARDÍ has released a new Mojito canned cocktail, crafted using its iconic BACARDÍ Carta Blanca Superior White Rum, along with all-natural flavours and real ingredients, including lime, mint and sparkling soda water.

The Mojito’s rise to prominence was famously boosted when author Ernest Hemingway became a fan of the beverage after visiting a Cuban bar called ‘A Bodequita del Medio’.

It’s gone on to become one of the world’s most popular cocktails. Every year, Drinks International asks 100 of the best bars in the world to rank their biggest selling cocktails and the Mojito came in at No.10 in 2021. It’s also been one of Australia’s most Googled cocktail recipes over the past year.

BACARDÍ’s new pre-mixed cocktail contains an ABV of 4.8% and 114 calories per serve, thanks to the use of natural cane
sugar. With the spirit-based RTD market surging 132% in the last year, the new release hits the shelves just in time for the warmer months, and is designed for entertaining occasions at home or picnicking outside with friends.

Bacardi-Martini Australia Brand Ambassador Loy Catada said: “With the original BACARDÍ Mojito having a rich history and rise in popularity since the 1930s, we’re proud to continue to meet our customers’ desires and launch the ready-to-drink BACARDÍ Mojito in time for summer here in Australia.

“BACARDÍ has been synonymous with classic Caribbean cocktails since 1862, and our latest launch gives consumers the ease of a high-quality cocktail made with the natural flavours and real ingredients of mint, lime, and the world’s most awarded rum in a convenient format.”

BACARDÍ Mojito is now available in select Dan Murphy’s, BWS, Liquorland, First Choice Liquor Market and independent retailers for $24.99 per pack of four.
