Her husband Ryan Reynolds is the driving force behind super-premium Aviation Gin and now Blake Lively has released her own mixer range called Betty Buzz.
Betty Buzz is described as “sparkling non-alcoholic mixers crafted for your favourite spirits but tasty enough to fly solo”. And the bottles feature vintage planes on the labels – smart synergy by the Hollywood power couple!

“I don’t drink,” said Lively. “I know that’s odd coming from the wife of an infamous gin slinger. Over the past many years of mixing but not drinking cocktails, it became clear mixers are the unsung heroes of the drink world and deserve just as much love as alcohol. We’ve spent the last three years crafting Betty Buzz.
“Why Betty? My dad’s name was Ernest Brown Jr but he was known as Ernie Lively. He gave up his last name when he married my mom and any success he, or I, have experienced has been in a name that isn’t his. So when I was working hard to build this company, I wanted any success to be in a name that was meaningful to him. Betty was his mom and his sister’s name. Also, Ernie would not be the best name for a mixer. Why Buzz? Because why should alcohol get all the fun? Try it. The bubbles and flavours feel like a buzz of joy.”

Betty Buzz includes five flavours: Tonic Water, Sparkling Grapefruit, Meyer Lemon Club Soda, Sparkling Lemon Lime, and Ginger Beer. The mixers are made with real juice and natural flavours, have no artificial flavours, colours, or sweeteners, and are non-GMO and gluten-free. They range from zero to 70 calories a bottle, with each bottle making two cocktails.
On Twitter, the brand shared a Tonic & Gin recipe:
1 part Gin [Aviation, we imagine]
3 parts (1/2 Bottle) Betty Buzz Tonic Water
2 dashes of orange bitters
Orange Wheel
Hugh Jackman has even filmed an Instagram post endorsing the brand, describing Blake Lively as “a class act, sunshine 7 days a week”, before cheekily adding: “You are a saint for marrying that man. Sorry, not sorry.”
“This is not an ad, I’m not a paid spokesperson, I wasn’t even asked to do this video,” Jackman said.
“But Deb and I love Betty Buzz. We love every flavour. Some of us even like it with a little nip added… but more importantly, we love the woman who created it, Blake Lively.”
Aviation joked in response: “Nip adds are always appreciated.”
