Canadian Club releases Soda & Lime RTD

As Canadian Club gears up for another big Aussie summer, the brand has kicked off the season with a new release: Soda & Lime.

Australia is the first market to launch the RTD globally – it features Canadian Club whiskey with a hint of lime, topped with soda, and is designed to satisfy Australian consumers’ increasing demand for ‘better-for-you’ alternatives.

It’s hardly surprising that the product is launching here first – Beam Suntory sells more Canadian Club in Australia than any other country, including the US.

The RTD market grew by 2.5% in the 12 months to June 2021, fuelled by Aussies adapting their drinking behaviours in line with a growing health awareness.

C.C Soda & Lime contains 50% fewer calories than popular cola and dry RTDs and has just 31 calories per 100ml.

Additionally, Canadian Club will continue its partnership with the Australian Open for the eighth year, as official Dark Spirits Partner, becoming the longest-standing beverage partner of the event.

“The Australian Open will continue to be a key partnership for the brand and we’re proud to be able to extend our long-term partnership with Tennis Australia,” Canadian Club Marketing Director Trent Chapman said. “In light of what has been a challenging year, especially for the people of Melbourne, we are proud to be a part of bringing to life one of the most iconic Australian events.”

C.C Soda & Lime has an RRP of $24.99 per six pack and ABV 4.8%. It’s available at all good liquor stores from early October 2021.
