A whiskey established in 1872 and named in honour of America’s first national park, Yellowstone Bourbon, is now available on Australian shelves.

Yellowstone’s signature serve, Yellowstone Select Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whiskey, marries two Kentucky Straight Bourbon whiskies, one aged four years and another aged seven years. It features spicy aromas of rye toast and cinnamon spice, as well as flavours of caramel, melted butter, and leathered cherries. With a tangy finish, notes of burnt brown sugar and cloves.

Yellowstone Founder and Master Distiller Stephen Beam has a hand in every bottle thanks to his long whiskey lineage, stemming back to his great, great grandfather.

Awarded Gold at the 2022 San Francisco World Spirits Competition and Double Gold at the 2023 Bartender Spirits Awards in the US, Yellowstone Select now joins a growing list of premium whiskeys available here in Australia.

“The growth of premium bourbon in Australia has been on the cards for a long time,” said Luxco International Managing Director Greg Mefford.

“Propelled to iconic status in the early 2000’s by TV shows like Mad Men, sales of bourbon have continued to grow in the Australia and around the world.  In fact, American Premium Bourbon exports to Australia have increased by 55% in the last five years. 

“I believe Australian consumers want to savor bourbon and rye whiskeys as they are looking for more depth of flavour. Higher proof premium bourbon delivers on this and it’s why we are moving away from producing  ‘standard’ 80 proof/40% ABV bottlings. “
