Australian non-alcoholic wine brand Edenvale has been awarded the “Low & No Wine Trophy 2024” award for its Premium Reserve Sparkling Shiraz NV in the Low & No Wine Category at this year’s International Wine & Spirit Competition (IWSC).
The IWSC is the most respected global drinks community, renowned for its expertise, influence and personal approach. IWSC trophies are awarded to the standout performers across a range of categories spanning grape varieties, spirits, design and packaging.
The win follows Edenvale’s Premium Reserve Sparkling Shiraz NV being awarded “Best Wine” earlier this year in the 2024 World Alcohol Free Awards, making this its second trophy in under a year.
Tasting notes from the IWSC judges said: “Intense aromas of luscious red berries and vanilla lead the way with an underlying note of liquorice and coffee, followed by a luxurious palate bursting with luscious dark fruits, with a touch of spice and velvety texture,” they noted.
Edenvale Founder Michael Bright said: “We are delighted to announce that our Premium Reserve Sparkling Shiraz has received its second trophy this year. Our commitment to innovation and exceptional quality continues to drive us, as we strive to further elevate the alcohol-removed category and set new standards in the industry. The award is a true testament to the team’s hard work and passion.”
Edenvale’s Premium Reserve Sparkling Shiraz is a de-alcoholised wine with less than 0.5% alcohol by volume – well below the international standard for non-alcoholic wine.
