The Great Australian SpecTAPular (GABS) will return for a whirlwind three-city tour in April and May 2025 and event organisers are calling for exhibitors to book their stands.

Tickets for Australia’s favourite beer festival, which touches down in Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane, went on sale to the public on December 12, 2024. 

The 2024 festival attracted more than 38,000 guests across 10 sessions in three cities. There were 28,140 litres of beer purchased at the festival and nearly 3000 beer tasters served per hour. Among the 174 brewers featured was Germany’s Weihenstephan, the oldest brewery in the world. 

For 2025, we’re pleased to announce Bamburg’s famous smoked beer brewery, Schlenkerla, will be crossing the oceans to exhibit at GABS in 2025. They’ll be joined by the world’s oldest brewery, Weihenstephan, who had so much fun in 2024, they will be back pouring their award-winning beers! 

There is also still time to enter GABS festival brews. Each year, breweries are invited to submit an expression of interest to create a special brew, but only 120 make the cut.

Famed for their weird and wonderful flavour combos (think sushi beer, cookie stouts and lollipop sours), some of the exclusive festival brews have gone on to become top sellers, such as Hop Nation’s Jedi Juice, Feral Brewing’s Karma Citra & Imperial Biggie, Deeds Brewing’s Juice Train NEIPA and Two Birds Brewing’s Taco.
