King Charles and Queen Consort Camilla have announced a new round of Royal Warrants, following their first appointments in May 2024, with Diageo scooping five seals of approval.
A Royal Warrant of Appointment is granted as a mark of recognition to people or companies who have regularly supplied goods or services to the Royal Household. It allows them to display the Royal Arms on their products, stationery, advertisements and other printed material, in their premises and on delivery vehicles.
The Royal Warrants were granted to: Justerini & Brooks as Wine & Spirits Merchants, John Walker & Sons (Johnnie Walker) and Royal Lochnagar for Scotch Whiskies, Tanqueray Gordon & Company (Tanqueray and Gordon’s) as Gin Distillers, and The Pimm’s Company.
For Justerini & Brooks, this association dates back to the supply of wines for the Coronation of King George III in 1761, Johnnie Walker has held a Royal Warrant to the Monarch for the supply of its Scotch whiskies since King George V in 1934, and this is the fifth Royal Warrant to be granted to Tanqueray Gordon & Company over almost a century, since 1925.
Each brand, all of which held a Royal Warrant to Queen Elizabeth II, is proud of this mark of recognition for supplying the Royal Household and shares the commitment to the highest standards of service, quality, excellence and craftsmanship that unites all Royal Warrant holders, along with the public commitment to sustainable and responsible business practices.
Diageo Global Corporate Relations Director Dan Mobley said: “It is a great privilege to supply our products to the Royal Household, and with the granting of these five new Royal Warrants to HM The King, we will display His Majesty’s Royal Arms on these brands with immense pride.”

A number of Champagne brands have also been given the Windsor seal of approval, including Bollinger, Louis Roederer, Moët & Chandon, Pol Roger, Veuve Clicquot and Laurent-Perrier.
Groupe Bollinger grantee and président directuer général Etienne Bizot said: “I am delighted to hear that Champagne Bollinger has once again been bestowed the great honour of receiving the Royal Warrant.
“It is with great pride that we display the Royal Warrant on every bottle of Champagne Bollinger we produce, and it is extra special to receive it this year from His Majesty The King, on the 140th anniversary since it was first bestowed upon the House by Queen Victoria in 1884.”

Whisky distillers including John Walker & Sons, Lochnagar Distillery and D. Johnston & Co (Laphroaig), as well as blender Matthew Gloag & Son, also received Royal Warrants.
The King visited Royal Lochnagar Distillery in 2018 to be formally presented with a rare cask of single malt Scotch whisky that was laid down 30 years prior as a gift to his Royal Highness.
