After the official 2025 Oscars telecast ended and the last golden statuette was handed out at Hollywood’s Dolby Theatre, the stars headed to the event’s famed after parties to celebrate while sipping Champagne and tequila cocktails.
The big three parties were the Governors Ball upstairs at the Dolby Theatre, the Vanity Fair Oscar Party at the Wallis Annenberg Center for the Performing Arts in Beverly Hills and Elton John’s AIDS Foundation party in West Hollywood Park.
At the Governor’s Ball, Tequila Don Julio returned to mix cocktails for the eighth consecutive year at the 2025 Oscars and this time around it collaborated with 2024 World’s Best Bar Handshake Speakeasy on exclusive creations.

Meanwhile, Brad Pitt’s Champagne Fleur de MIRAVAL bowed out of the event this year and was replaced by Champagne Lallier as the exclusive champagne featured at the Governors Ball and other Oscars-related events.

For a third consecutive year, Clarendelle & Domaine Clarence Dillon wines was the exclusive red and white wines poured at the Governors Ball and other Oscars-related events.
Hollywood’s night of nights was held on 2 March 2025 at the Dolby Theatre at Ovation Hollywood.
Diageo stole the show in 2024 by organising the Oscars ceremony’s first-ever cocktail moment. Everyone in the audience at the Academy Awards received a mini bottle of Don Julio, with host Jimmy Kimmel also swigging one on stage.
This year the Tequila Don Julio sipping began before the parties too, with a mid-show toast by best actor nominee Colman Domingo.

The Sing Sing actor turned an break into a disco-funk dance party to pay homage to Los Angeles and the city’s resilience following devastating fires. He raised a mini Tequila Don Julio bottle to the air for a toast, which featured a special touch: each was custom-engraved with “LA” inside a heart.
“Happy Oscars, everybody. You need to dance it up,” he said.
“[Last night] was a special night for everyone in Los Angeles, especially after everything that we’ve been through,” the actor told The Hollywood Reporter. “I was honoured to have the chance to celebrate our first responders and the people that make this city so resilient with a dance party — and my friend, Don Julio 1942. After all, you can’t spell ‘tequila’ without ‘LA.’”
The Governors Ball was held at the Ray Dolby Ballroom on the top level of Ovation Hollywood immediately following the Oscars broadcast.
Guests at the Governors Ball were treated to edible boozy treats courtesy of celebrity chef Wolfgang Puck, with a dessert menu featuring Don Julio-infused chocolate cigars, pina colada Oscar silhouette eclairs; rum & vanilla caneles; ube & sake-infused cherry tea cake; Champagne, lychee and raspberry tarts; and bourbon & caramelised pecan paris brest.
A Governors Ball press preview was held on 25 February 25 2025, with drinks brands pouring their creations for the cameras.



On the night, Joly and Handshake Speakeasy, together with their team prepared 1200 limes, 25,500 espresso beans, 1000 apples and more for this year’s cast of cocktails, including Golden Age Gimlet made with Tequila Don Julio Blanco, The Clear Winner featuring Tequila Don Julio Reposado, Standing Ovation spotlighting Tequila Don Julio Alma Miel, and The Class Act starring Tequila Don Julio 1942.

The Vanity Fair Oscars party featured glamorous guests, copious In-N-Out burgers, and more than a few shiny golden statuettes. Newly-minted Oscar winners mingled with assorted other A-listers, musical icons, titans of industry and up-and-coming young talent, sipping wine and cocktails.

The Elton John AIDS Foundation’s 33rd Annual Elton John AIDS Foundation Academy Awards Viewing Party featured a performance by Chappell Roan and raised over $8.6 million in support of the Foundation’s mission to end AIDS.
Elton John co-hosted the event alongside Elton John AIDS Foundation Chair David Furnish, Golden Globe® and EMMY® Award-winning actress Jean Smart, EMMY® Award-winning actress Sheryl Lee Ralph, EMMY® Award and Tony® Award-winning actor Neil Patrick Harris, and Award-winning actor, author, and chef David Burtka.
“I can’t believe this is the 33rd year of hosting our annual Academy Awards Viewing Party. Nothing means more to me than being surrounded by friends, family, and supporters, for a cause so close to my heart. I’m deeply grateful to everyone who continues to stand with us to end new cases of HIV and save lives around the world. Now, more than ever, we need allies by our side to come together and finish this fight to end AIDS,” said John.


The evening kicked off with a reimagined Champagne and Caviar cocktail reception, featuring a culinary experience curated by Chef Wayne Elias, fine wines from Treasury Wine Estates’ DAOU Vineyards, a Veuve Clicquot Champagne bar and self-driving carts roaming the venue, handing out cocktails served in mini Don Julio 1942 bottles.
