Terrazza Aperol has reopened overlooking Piazza Duomo in Milan, with a new look designed to enhance the heritage and identity of the brand.
Born from a collaboration between global food and beverage company Autogrill and Campari Group, the historic venue has evolved to offer a more immersive experience, where design, atmosphere and an innovative menu come together to celebrate the Aperol style.
The restyling, by studio Vudafieri Saverino Partners was designed to evoke the timeless ‘golden hour’, the iconic moment of the Italian aperitif. Golden, orange and blue tones intertwine in graphic elements that recall the colours of the sunset and the movement of the water in the Venetian lagoon.

The large windows create a dialogue between indoors and outdoors, while the panoramic terrace offers a stunning view of the Duomo, immersing itself in the lively context of the piazza.

The soul of Terrazza Aperol is its central counter, flanked by a social table that invites sharing. The concept is also reflected in the food proposal, which reinterprets traditional Venetian cicchetti with a Milanese touch.
The Campari Academy has reviewed the drink list offer. Together with the ever-green Aperol Spritz, the main symbol of Terrazza, there are a range of classic cocktails and new exclusives.

“Terrazza Aperol is an example of how, thanks to a synergy with a strategic partner like Autogrill it is possible to build lasting and valuable projects,” said Campari Group Managing Director Gabriele Ornaghi.
“We want to establish ourselves as a reference point for conviviality, attracting not only the Milanese but also an international audience that recognises the power of the Aperol Spritz way of life.”
Campari announced in early 2021 that it planned to launch Terrazza Aperol bars around the global to celebrate the hugely popular orange apertif. The Terrazza Aperol in Milan was the launch venue, with a second Aperol bar opening in Venice later the same year.
