Fever-Tree Australia kicks off local production

Fever-Tree Australia has announced it is commencing local production of its range of premium mixers in response to market share hitting a record high.

This development comes as Fever-Tree marks its 20th anniversary globally and celebrates another year of strong growth in Australia.

Local production will be undertaken in partnership with Remedy Drinks at its facility in Melbourne’s Dandenong South.

According to Fever-Tree, the move will further enhance its supply chain efficiency, shorten lead times for customers and
support local industry – all the while significantly reducing emissions associated with international transport.

In support of its expanding operations, Fever-Tree has promoted its Head of Commercial Sales Grant Howard and Head of Finance Luca Lavermicocca as joint General Managers for Australia and New Zealand.

Howard is a former Customer Director for ALM/Metcash and worked with Lion in a variety of roles for over 18 years. He succeeds Andy Gaunt, who has been appointed as CEO at Sullivans Cove distillery in Tasmania.

Howard (above) said: “We are very excited to start producing Fever-Tree products locally. Partnering with Remedy Drinks will enable us to provide greater flexibility for our customers while using the same, globally sourced, highest-quality ingredients with flavour profiles remaining exactly as consumers know and love.

“We have an exciting innovation pipeline and new product launches planned, building on the success of our new 250ml cans and the continued popularity of our soda range and cocktail mixers in particular which has seen the brand grow well ahead of the broader mixer category.”
