XXXX has flown giant cans of XXXX GOLD beer over the city of Brisbane in a signal of Queensland pride.

The huge cans were made from custom helium inflatable PVC which had been digitally printed to look like the XXXX GOLD Pride In Your Origin Cans. Coming in at an impressive 16kgs and four metres tall by 2.2 metres wide per can was the equivalent of over 15,000 litres of beer per flying can of XXXX.

The stunt celebrated XXXX working with Maroons legend Paul ‘Fatty’ Vautin to released a world-first “Fatty Says” AI powered app that brings his unmistakable voice and banter into the hands of fans during games.

Brand Director – Core Beer Karen Sterling-Levis said: “We know how much Queenslanders back their state – it’s in their blood. Flying the XXXX GOLD Pride In Your Origin cans is our way of taking that pride to the skies, and celebrating the communities, postcodes and people that make this state great.”

XXXX has also worked with Queensland Maroons players Shenae Ciesolka and Moeaki Fotuaika, who are wearing their hometown postcodes with pride on their jersey sleeve this Origin season in place of the XXXX logo.

Both players acknowledged their career success to the local communities who supported them over the years.

Queensland Maroons Women’s centre Shenae Ciesiolka (4401) said: “There’s nothing like seeing your hometown postcode on your jersey — it reminds you why you play and who you’re playing for. The pride runs deep, and seeing XXXX cans flying across Queensland just brings it home even more, especially before the men’s team takes on game one on home turf.”

Queensland Maroons Men’s prop Moeaki Fotuaika (4124) said: “We’re ready to take on the Blues in game one tomorrow night and what better way than to hype up Queenslanders than seeing the big 4064 postcode on XXXX flying cans in the sky – doesn’t get more Queensland than that and charges us up to bring home a win.”

XXXX brings Fatty Vautin out of retirement

The new “Fatty Says” interactive app experience features Fatty Vautin “coming out of retirement’ to call one last series with reactions to gameplay delivered in real-time and in his usual parochial Queensland style – all generated by AI.

Vautin said: “After a long career in footy and over three decades in commentating, I’m excited to bring my knowledge to league fans in this virtual format. It’s an honour to come back on the screens for one more Origin season in a smaller AI
