ALDI’s Veuve Monsigny Champagne Brut has been named World’s Best Champagne at the World Champagne Awards 2025.
The World Champagne Awards are part of the broader World Drinks Awards, a competition that recognises excellence in the drinks industry.
ALDI’s budget-friendly bottle triumphed over luxury competitors to be crowned the World’s Best Champagne. Crafted from a classic blend of Chardonnay, Pinot Noir, and Pinot Meunier and matured in cellars to enhance its complexity and length, ALDI describes Veuve Monsigny Champagne Brut as having aromas of ripe apple, soft red fruit, and delicate florals.
The retailer suggests the Champagne’s crisp notes complement a variety of dishes, making it ideal for toasting or pairing with seafood and light appetizers.
ALDI UK Chief Commercial Officer Julie Ashfield said: “To have our Veuve Monsigny Champagne Brut recognised as the best in the world is proof that exceptional quality doesn’t have to come with an eye-watering price tag. It’s a proud moment not just for ALDI, but for our customers who can enjoy world-class champagne without breaking the bank.”
This latest triumph adds to an already glittering track record for Veuve Monsigny Champagne, which won multiple medals at last year’s International Wine Challenge, Drinks Business Sparkling awards the and Champagne Masters.
Across its wider beers, wines, and spirits collection, Aldi has amassed over 180 awards this year alone, cementing its position as a powerhouse of quality and affordability in the industry.
Veuve Monsigny Champagne Brut is available at ALDI stores throughout Australia, priced at $32.99.
