Tooheys has launched a NSW Flood Relief donation initiative to help the flood recovery efforts being carried out across affected areas of the state, particularly in the Hunter and Mid-North Coast areas.

The initiative is in partnership with North Coast Hotel Group Venues (NCHG), C.ex Group and the Australian Hotels Association of New South Wales (AHA NSW).

Fellow New South Welshmen can show their support by purchasing a Tooheys schooner at all NCHG and C.ex Group venues from 12 June – 9 July 2025, with 50c per schooner given to GIVIT, the national not-for-profit organisation helping Australians experiencing hardship receive the essential items and services they need.

The AHA NSW has also rallied behind the cause, donating $25,000 directly to support the initiative.

Lion NSW Field Sales Director Greg Watt said: “For over 150 years, Tooheys has proudly backed the NSW community and are committed to playing our part in disaster recovery.

“It’s fantastic to have partners such as the North Coast Hotel Group and AHANSW who can help us stand shoulder to shoulder with our local communities up in the Mid-North Coast to support our neighbours who are facing difficult times following the floods.”

CEO of GIVIT Chris Staines said: “GIVIT is grateful to Tooheys for supporting our work assisting communities in the Mid North Coast and Hunter regions of NSW that have been devastated by floods. GIVIT will use funds raised to ensure people have access to the essential goods and services they need to rebuild after this disaster.”

AHA NSW Director of Liquor and Policing John Green said: “Our hotels are doing it tough right now, and so any support we can provide we will do. We hope that through this initiative our members, their patrons and the wider community can benefit and get some relief where it is needed most.”

NCHG co-owner Charlie Nalder said: “We are thrilled to help do our bit in supporting our community up here in the Mid-North Coast in getting back on their feet. Our doors are open to welcome anyone who is able to show their support simply by purchasing a schooner.”

C.ex Group General Manager Jeff Cox said: “It’s excellent to see our industry come together for a good cause. We welcome those impacted directly or indirectly to come and enjoy a beer and help raise much needed funds.”
