A Bondi-based beverage start-up called Leuca has launched Australia’s first non-carbonated vodka-infused water.

Tapping into a consumer shift away from overly carbonated and sugary RTDs, Leuca has introduced two flavours: Watermelon Mint Lime and Apple Blackcurrant.

Watermelon Mint Lime combines the sweetness of watermelon with the crisp balance of mint and lime, while Apple Blackcurrant taps into nostalgic Aussie flavours reminiscent of classic juice boxes, updated with a modern twist.

“We got tired of healthier RTDs always being super carbonated or bland,” said Leuca Co-Founder Shaun May.

“Finding a drink that tasted genuinely good often meant compromising on sugar or additives. Watching our peers on platforms like TikTok decarbonating their beverages made us realise there had to be a better way. That’s exactly why we created Leuca, a tasty, enjoyable beverage without carbonation or sugar overload.”

Leuca combines water, triple-distilled premium vodka and natural fruit flavouring. The brand has already secured early partnerships with Bondi venues including the Beach Road Hotel, with more than half of its initial production run has already been pre-sold to local venues and bottle stores.
