Consumer demand has led Coopers Brewery to extend its range of DIY brewing extracts to include a ginger beer and apple cider.
Coopers DIY Ginger Beer and Apple Cider can be made either with a 3.5% ABV or non alcoholic.
Coopers Brewing Products Marketing Manager Scott Harris said. “You can now brew a great tasting Coopers Ginger Beer and Apple Cider at home for less than $1 a stubbie.
“These two new extracts are in response to feedback we’ve received from customers wanting more variety in their DIY brewing options. Our DIY ales, lagers and stout continue to be extremely popular but homebrewers have also been asking for an alternative to beer.
“Ginger beer is one of the strongest growing drink styles in Australia with consumption having tripled in size over the past five years, while apple is the most popular flavour among cider drinkers.
“Australian made with all natural flavours, our DIY Ginger Beer and Apple Cider are sure to appeal to existing and first-time brewers. Like all Coopers DIY Beer, both are very easy to brew. Just mix, brew, bottle and enjoy.
“It can also be five times cheaper to brew at home. So, at a time when household budgets are squeezed, there’s now more options to enjoy great tasting drinks and save money.”
The 500g Ginger Beer or Apple Cider extract pouches make 10 litres and can be brewed in any Coopers DIY Beer kits. Both are ready to drink in three weeks from primary fermentation and best enjoyed cold, served with a generous amount of ice.
Coopers Ginger Beer and Apple Cider is available at DIYBeer.com or instore at Big W and select Dan Murphy’s stores.
