Peter West to retire from Coca-Cola

Coca-Cola Europacific Partners (CCEP) has announced the retirement of Peter West, Vice President and General Manager of the Australia, Pacific and South-East Asia (APS) business unit, effective 31 December 2025.

West’s retirement marks the close of a career spanning nearly four decades in the fast-moving consumer goods industry, prior to joining Coca-Cola Amatil in 2018 as Managing Director of Australian Beverages.

Since then, CCEP said West has played a pivotal role in shaping the trajectory of Coca-Cola’s business in the region. The company said his leadership was instrumental in revitalising the Australian business and guiding it through one of its most significant transformations – the acquisition of Coca-Cola Amatil by Coca-Cola European Partners in 2021, today known as Coca-Cola Europacific Partners.

Coca-Cola Europacific Partners CEO Damian Gammell said: “Peter’s contribution to CCEP in Australia and the broader region has been transformative. His deep understanding of the industry and landscape, along with his ability to drive growth across diverse markets, have made him a respected figure within our business and beyond.”

Following Amatil’s acquisition, West became the inaugural Vice President and General Manager of the newly formed Australia, Pacific and Indonesia Business Unit, which was later expanded to include South-East Asia when the business jointly acquired Coca-Cola Beverages Philippines with Aboitiz Equity Ventures.

Under his stewardship, the APS region was successfully integrated into CCEP, while the Australian market – led by Managing Director, Orlando Rodriguez – has continued to grow and is fourth-largest contributor to CCEP’s global revenue.

“As Peter prepares for his retirement at the end of this year, we thank him for his leadership, vision, and unwavering commitment to operational excellence,” Gammell said.

“He leaves a lasting legacy – not only in business results but in the strength of the leadership team and culture he helped build.”

West will work closely with Gareth McGeown, current General Manager of the Philippines, to ensure a smooth leadership transition before McGeown officially steps into the role of VP and GM for APS on 1 January 2026.

Tobias Hoogewerff appointed to lead At Home channel

The announcement follows CCEP appointing Tobias Hoogewerff as Vice President of Sales – At Home, effective 1 September 2025. He succeeds Jarrad Mortimer, who is leaving the business after 11 years.

Hoogewerff (above) was the Vice President of Sales – Licensed in CCEP’s Australian Leadership Team. During his time in this position, CCEP said he had been pivotal in strengthening high-profile brand partnerships, driving commercial growth, and delivering strategic outcomes across the alcohol portfolio.

Rodriguez said: “Tobias is a well-respected commercial leader in the industry. He brings a powerful combination of strategic insight, customer focus, and people-first leadership to the Vice President of Sales – At Home role. His deep understanding of the market and proven ability to build high-performing teams make him the ideal leader to take our growing At Home business into its next chapter.”

Hoogewerff said: “I’m excited to lead our At Home channel and continue building strong, mutually rewarding partnerships with Australia’s top grocery retailers. With the support of our exceptional At Home leadership team, we’re well-positioned to continue delivering shared growth and value for our customers and consumers.”
