Australia’s best wine & spirits cellar doors

The 2025 Qantas Australian Tourism Awards have honoured the nation’s most outstanding tourism businesses, with three cellar doors taking out top accolades.

The Australian Tourism Awards are the industry’s highest honour, recognising excellence in innovation, service and visitor experience across the country.

In the Tourism Wineries, Distilleries & Breweries category, medal winners included Queensland’s Beenleigh Artisan Distillery (Gold), Victoria’s Harman Wines (Silver) and South Australia’s Seppeltsfield Barossa (Bronze).

“These awards are our nation’s celebration of the businesses and people who exemplify the highest standard of quality in Australian tourism,” said Australian Tourism Industry Council CEO Erin McLeod.

Beenleigh Artisan Distillery said the win cemented its reputation as one of Australia’s standout distillery experiences.

Founded in 1884, Beenleigh Rum is Australia’s oldest operating rum distillery and a cornerstone of Queensland’s distilling heritage. Located in Eagleby, the distillery has evolved into a leading tourism destination, offering a unique blend of history, hospitality and hands-on experiences.

From guided tours through the working distillery to premium tastings, cocktail experiences and interactive masterclasses, Beenleigh offers an authentic, behind-the-scenes look at the art of rum-making.

Venue Manager Ross Adams said: “This is an incredible honour for our entire team. To be recognised not only in Queensland but across Australia reflects the passion, dedication and innovation that goes into every experience we offer. We’re proud to showcase the rich heritage of distilling while creating something truly memorable for our visitors.”
