Jacob’s Creek Le Petit Rosé 2026 has been awarded the Best Rosé and Wine of Show trophies at the Riverland Wine Show.

It is believed to be the first time a Rosé has taken out a Best in Show trophy in Australia. The accolade is almost exclusively awarded to full-bodied red wines such as Shiraz or Cabernet Sauvignon or premium white varieties such as Chardonnay or Riesling.

Now in its 54th year, the Riverland Wine Show remains an important forum for the evaluation and assessment of wines produced from fruit sourced from the inland irrigated regions of Swan Hill, Murray Darling, Riverina, Rutherglen and the Riverland.

The judges noted that the best wines in the Rosé category were “vibrant and fresh, displaying an attractive salmon, Provence-style colour and good overall balance”. They awarded 96 points to Le Petit Rosé 2026, which is available in some independent bottle shops for as little as $13.

It follows the wine being awarded the trophy for Best Rosé at the nation’s oldest wine competition, the 2026 Sydney Royal Wine Show.

Chair of Judges Mike De Iuliis said Le Petit Rosé 2026 stood out among the winners for being both award-winning and extremely good value for money.

The wine also recently won the trophy for Best Rosé at Perth Royal Wine Awards and a Gold Medal at the Royal Queensland Wine Show.
