The daughter of one of Margaret River’s founding winemakers has debuted a new Once & Well wine range called Frankie’s Garden.
It includes two fresh and fruity wines designed for easy summer drinking – Frankie’s Garden Sun Kissed White and Frankie’s Garden Rosé.
Once & Well winemaker Freya Hohnen, often nicknamed ‘Frankie’, created this collection inspired by her sense of place and connection to Margaret River, where she grew up in a winemaking family as the daughter of David Hohnen.

Freya (above) said: “Frankie’s Garden is about connection to people and place. The wines are great examples of what nature can bring from a particular wine region in terms of wine style.”
The Sun Kissed White is a fresh and lively white, blending Semillon, Sauvignon Blanc, and Chardonnay. With lovely aromas of passionfruit, guava and lemon essence that flow into a full flavoured palate of juicy nectarines and sweet jasmine.
Made with Pinot Noir grapes, the Margaret River Rosé is bursting with berry flavours balanced with a lovely dry, crunchy finish. Showing strawberries, toffee apples and subtle fairy floss on the nose, moving into a light palate layered with soft red berries and balanced acidity.

“They are flavoursome and best shared in happy places with other people: family, BBQ’s, Christmas lunch, picnics, afternoon drinks with friend”, says Hohnen.
The Margaret River Sun Kissed White is available to purchase for $15.99 exclusively at Dan Murphy’s Australia wide and BWS stores in Western Australia; the Margaret River Rosé is available to purchase for $15.99 exclusively at Dan Murphy’s stores in Western Australia.
