The PATRÓN Perfectionists program is back for its 2023 edition, with this year’s program focusing on the Paloma cocktail.

Building on the brand’s long-standing commitment to inspiring and nurturing the hospitality industry, the PATRÓN
Perfectionists program has further enriched its digital hub – Academia PATRÓN – providing an engaging educational ecosystem and access to mentoring sessions with the world’s leading on-trade personalities, including Matt Whiley from Re.

The entry challenge, Paint the World PATRÓN Paloma, will ask bartenders to create a PATRÓN Paloma, worthy of their favourite global city and of PATRÓN Tequila’s commitment to the highest quality ingredients. Featuring PATRÓN Reposado, soda water, a creative cordial flavoured as the bartender likes, grapefruit in some form and inspired by their city of choice, the Paloma entries need to be submitted by September 30.

To support bartenders and enable them to put forward their best cocktail Australia’s PATRÓN Brand Ambassador, Alex Godfrey and reigning Australian Champion Alex Boon (above) are hitting the road to sharing knowledge, insights, tips and tricks.

The sessions are:

SYDNEY: 8 August, 1pm – RE – Shop 8/2 Locomotive St, Eveleigh
PERTH: 9 August, 2pm – NEON PALMS – 245 William St, Northbridge
BRISBANE: 14 August, 1pm – STRANDED BAR – 3 Winn St, Fortitude Valley
ADELAIDE: 15 August, 2pm – MEMPHIS SLIMS – 22 Gilbert Place, Adelaide
MELBOURNE: 16 August, 1pm – PEARL DIVER & CO – 56 Little Bourke St, Melbourne
GEELONG: 18 August, 1pm – 18TH AMENDMENT – 82A Little Malop St, Geelong

If you can’t make one of these sessions there is also a virtual session on 17 August at 2:30pm (AEST).

Shortlisted entries will then make their cocktail for Alex Godfrey in their own venue. The 10 best entries will go forward to the National Final.

The Australian winner will receive $5000 and a trip of a lifetime to Hacienda PATRÓN in March 2024 for an experience-filled week with their fellow global finalists, a surprise panel of global mentors, judges, and the Familia PATRÓN in Atotonilco El Alto, Jalisco, Mexico.
