Charlie Sheen gets into the (non-alc) beer business

Did you know actor Charlie Sheen has been sober since 2017? Somehow we missed this news. And he’s just created his own non-alc beer brand, Wild AF.

The launch of Wild AF coincides with Sheen releasing his new autobiography The Book of Sheen and appearing in the Netflix documentary AKA Charlie Sheen.

Sheen’s career has included breakout roles in Platoon and Major League in the 1980s and starring in Two and a Half Men in the 2000s.

Now he’s created a beer brand in partnership with Harpoon Brewery, an employee-owned American brewery, with locations in Boston, Massachusetts and Vermont.

To introduce the brand, Sheen has appeared in a video called The Case. The minute-long spot casts the actor as a seasoned boss drives through his Los Angeles neighborhood in a retro sedan.

Wild AF’s debut release, Cold Gold, is a non-alcoholic brew with notes of citrus, toasted malt, and a crisp, clean finish. Marketed as “the ultimate ballpark beer without the booze,” it aims to deliver classic beer character with none of the hangover.

Sheen said he’s tried nearly every non-alcoholic beer on the market, but none delivered the taste he was looking for, so he decided to make his own.

“Wild AF is for people who believe the morning belongs to the night before,” he says in the campaign. Watch it below:

The news follows singer Robbie Williams becoming a minority stakeholder in Aussie non-alc beer brand Heaps Normal.
