Tia Maria is celebrating International Coffee Day on Sunday October 1, 2023, by giving away 10,000 complimentary Espresso Martinis at selected bars across Australia.

The ‘Tia-Tini’ is Tia Maria’s take on Australia’s favourite cocktail, the Espresso Martini. The drink was created in 1983 by British barman Richard ‘Dick’ Bradsell, who used Tia Maria in his original recipe, mixing it with espresso, vodka and simple syrup.

Tia Maria features 100% Arabica coffee, Madagascar vanilla and Jamaican rum.

Australian ‘Maria’, Maria Thattil has joined with Tia Maria for the International Coffee Day celebration. The author, media personality, columnist, TedX speaker, ex-Miss Universe Australia and coffee lover is calling all Marias (and Marias at heart) to “get your Tia on us”.

“Tia Maria was on our shelves at home, I grew up seeing my folks enjoy it and I developed a taste for it,” Thattil said.
